Paper covers on which title & key map in two colors are printed, toned, brittle, some splits & chipping, detached from text & encased in mylar; text pp. toned, maps bright with vibrant colors; internally very good.
Excellent analysis, description and depiction of the geology of Greater New York City, northeastern New Jersey, and western Long Island, accompanied by 13 beautifully printed maps, some printed in several colors. Each map is flanked by a column of visual keys to the symbols--geologic and otherwise--used on the maps. There are four types of maps: topographic, those displaying historical and surficial geology respectively, and one "Structure-Section Sheet." There are two sheets, each of which contains six photos of salient geographic features of the area.
