Atlanta, Georgia.
[Atlanta, 1924]
Map of Atlanta Georgia ….
28 ¼ x 26 inches. Lithograph. Removed from original brown covers (present) & flattened. Lightly toned, else excellent. A scarce, unusually well-preserved street plan of Atlanta. We found no copies in map market records, and OCLC lists only digital copies, of the 1921 edition. Atlanta is considered to have fully come of age as a major metropolitan area in the 1920s, which is fully reflected in this highly detailed plan. Most evident here is the complex network of transportation infrastructure, notably rail and trolley lines. By the time of this map, the city's skyline had taken shape and its major parks were in place.
