Very rare broadsheet catalogue of the stock of prolific map publisher and seller, Jean Claude Dezauche. Though undated, it is likely the catalogue was issued shortly after Dezuache’s acquisition of the stocks of De l’Isle and Buache in 1780; their works are given greatest prominence in the title of the advertisement.
The catalogue provides an excellent picture of the scope of Dezauche’s map publishing and selling activities. Many of the nautical charts he published for the Depot de la Marine are listed here along with diverse other individual maps, globes, and atlases. A paste-over at the bottom of the last page provides a “Suplement au Present Catalogue” that list several more atlases and maps.
