10 x 15 inches. Fine hand color; excellent condition. Charming, well-detailed, oblique aerial view of the unique city with rich hand color. Important churches and structures, including the tower and plaza of St. Mark’s, are clearly depicted and identified on the view. Sebastian Munster, a Swiss humanist, geographer and Hebraist, carried on correspondences with scholars and artists throughout Europe and was thus able to obtain accurate city plans like this one.
