Attractive woodcut view of the walled town of Cheb (Egra) now a small town near the Czech border with Germany but one of the larger towns in Bohemia in the 15th and 16th centuries. As the Latin title points out, The town had been part of the Holy Roman Empire; after passing between Imperial and Bohemian influence for many years, it was incorporated into Bohemia in the 14th century.
