The lens features a 4” viewing area with 3X magnification and is fastened to the wooden handle with antiqued brass hardware; overall length is 10 ½ inches.
An elegant instrument, exclusively crafted for us by Louisiana master woodworker, Leopold A. Frilot.
The grain patterns on the wooden handles are all natural; no stains have been added to any of the woods, just sanding, waxing and polishing. An excellent instrument for examining old maps.
The illustrated magnifier is made with Sapelé [Mohagony], native to West Africa.
