7 inches The lens features a 2 –3/4” viewing area with 2X magnification and is fastened to the wooden handle with gold plated brass hardware; overall length is 7 inches.
Very elegant instruments, exclusively crafted for us by Louisiana master woodworker, Leopold A. Frilot.
The grain patterns on the wooden handles are all natural; no stains have been added to any of the woods, just sanding, waxing and polishing.
The illustrated magnifiers are made with:
1 - Snakewood(rarest wood in the world), native to Suriname.
2 - African Blackwood native to Tasmania
3 - Bois de Rose native to South America
