Rare edition with English text on the back. A most striking map of Denmark with delicately stippled seas with ships and sea monsters. The southwest coast of Sweden is also on the map. The English text provides a fascinating account of Scandinavian peoples. Only a few editions of Dutch folio atlases of the 16th and 17th century were published with English text.
