Fine original & later color; few stains, else excellent.
An attractive and generally quite accurate map from the great map publisher of the French Enlightenment. The fabled and then still remote Spice Islands are shown in good detail, but New Guinea is tentatively drawn, and the islands shown to the east of the Philippines are highly speculative. The northwest coast of Australia appears at lower right.
