Rare first edition of a series of plates illustrating the ivory, terra cotta and boxwood sculptures and reliefs by the famous Flemish sculptor Francis van Bossuyt. The engravings are by Mattys Pool after drawings by the Dutch painter Barent Graat.

Extremely rare German edition of Giuseppe Maria Mitelli's Proverbi Figurati (Bologna, 1678) by the Augsburg engraver Johann Christoph Kolb, which copies 25 of the original 48 engravings in reverse, reprinting the 3-line Italian proverb alongside a generally less concise German translation.

Rare first edition and most likely a presentation copy of this life of Queen Margaret of Scotland (c. 1047-93), unique among female saints for her status not as a virgin but as a mother of eight. Her successful reform of the lax Scottish church five centuries earlier made her an ideal example for Counter-Reformation propagandists.
